Today Ms. Bennett, a professional artist, came to our class to teach us all about painting with water colour. Ms. Bennett showed us some paintings by Rene Magritte, a surrealist artist. Surrealism paintings are when fantasy, imagination and dreams are used to create paintings. We used wax, salt and water puddling to create a variety of painting techniques. Next we were given a small piece of a magazine picture and had to glue it onto our paper and create a surreal water painting around the photo. Take a look at our Kidblog posts to see our paintings. | |
